Before dedicating most of his time to painting and digital art, LARRY (“LARS”) LARSON worked for decades designing, rendering, and illustrating architectural projects. That history carries forward into works that attempt to integrate the built environment with the natural world.

In his “Distancing” series, Larry reacts to the Covid-19 pandemic, creating somewhat idealistic hermit lifestyles, isolated from the global panic and suffering. But more often the works tells a story of human indifference, even disdain, toward nature, that takes the form of irony, satire, or dystopian themes.
